Fire Suppression System

CO2 Fire Suppression System

Introduction

Carbon Dioxide Gas

Under normal atmospheric temperature and pressures, carbon dioxide exists as a colorless, odorless gas which is about 1.5 times heavier than air. Carbon dioxide will not burn or support combustion and will not sustain life. When confined within a suitable pressure vessel and depending on temperature and pressure conditions, carbon dioxide can exist in any of three stages of matter; solid, liquid and gas.

High Pressure Carbon Dioxide System :

High pressure CO2 system is a specialized fire extinguishing system designed to maintain the carbon dioxide supply at 21ยบ C and 850 psig in strength alloy steel cylinders. The cylinders contain the CO2 required to protect the largest single hazard. On large hazards where several cylinders are required, a manifold is used to connect each cylinder by means of flexible hoses and check valves. Cylinder valves control the CO2 flow to the hazard through properly sized pipe, terminating in nozzles that apply the CO2. Flow rate is controlled by nozzle orifices as well as pipe sizes. The cylinder master valves are electronically operated and the slave valves are pressure actuated. The master valves can be automatically and/or manually operated.

CO2 Extinguishing System Most Ideal For Protecting :

  • Paint and varnish manufacturing and processing areas.
  • Powder coating and Painting boots.
  • Transformers and substations.
  • Rolling mills and Turbines.
  • False Floors and cable shafts.
  • Engine test benches and SHIP Engine Room / compartments.

Clean Agent

Features

  • Turnkey Project supply, installation and commissioning of clean agent fire extinguishing systems.
  • These are suitable to use in occuiped spaces and are suitable for class A, B & C fires

Dry Powder

Skid Mounted Fixed DCP System consisting of DCP Vessel, Monitor, Hose reel, Pneumatic operated select Valves, Nitrogen cylinder, Ball valves, Regulators, safety valves and Control Box with N2 Pilot cylinders and interconnecting hoses.

Features

  • Dry Chemical Powder is one of the most powerful fire fighting agents for extinguishment of class B & C fires.
  • Ships carrying Liquefied gas and certain chemicals in bulk shall be equipped with fix dry powder system.
  • A pilot valve opens the main discharge valve and the dry powder flows through the distribution manifold tothe monitor or hand hose line in question.
  • The pressure during discharge is kept constant by means of a reduction valve placed upstream of the dry powder unit.
  • Release of the system may be remotely operated from the release boxes utilising a nitrogen pilot cylinder or al- ternatively manually operated at the dry powder unit.
  • The propellant gas system is designed to contain sufficient nitrogen to maintain the pressure during release as well as to clean the pipes and hand hose lines after discharge.

Foam System

Pump injection type Skid mounted Foam generator consisting of Foam pump, Ratio controller, NRV, Auto by pass valve, Strainer, Ball valves, Flushing connections, Control Panel, Water foam monitor, Hose reels, Foam tank with gauge glass.

Fire Detection and Alarm System

Features

  • An excellent quality range of Automatic Fire control panel which are UL listed. These can be customized as per our customer's requirement. These are widely known for its durability and quality.

Fire,Smoke and Heat Detector

Fire detection in small, confined spaces where rapidly burning, high heat fires are anticipated Heat detectors have a lower false alarm rate, but they are also slower than smoke detectors in detecting fires. Photoelectric smoke alarms operate using a light source, a light beam collimating system and a photoelectric sensor. When smoke enters the optical chamber and crosses the path of the light beam, some light is scattered by the smoke particles, directing it at the sensor and thus activating the alarm. This type of alarm responds best to slow smoldering fires.
